My Blog Remix, I remixed WynesWorldFinalNarrative:
My name is Tim O’Rourke and I am from a town of approximately 7,500. It is about 45 minutes East of Philadelphia. My family owns an acre of land. We have a big back yard, but my dad never gave into our pleads for a pool. My family and I take many vacations together. Our most exciting family vacation was to Hawaii. My dad, my sister, and I went scuba diving off the island of Oahu. We ventured into a crater that was 40 feet deep and saw giant sea turtles.
I did not enjoy high school until my senior year. I enjoyed hanging out with my friends and partying on the weekends, not the actual schoolwork part. My senior class had around 350 kids. Most of the faculty knew me, but not in a good way. I was known to sleep through most of my classes. Since our high school was so big, many “clicks” were formed. My senior year was very relaxed. Many of our high school “clicks” dissolved and we all became really good friends. I’m glad that the “clicks” of our high school dissolved, because I made a lot of new friends.
I never really became involved with many clubs in High school. I played a variety of sports, including baseball, football, and track. However, I did not play any sports after 9th grade. Outside of school I did do some groups. I was involved with the Big Brothers Big Sisters program for three years. During those three years I had the same little brother. Sticking with my little brother for three years was one of the better decisions I’ve ever made. We both taught each other a lot over the course of the three years.
Penn State is immensely bigger then my old town of Downingtown. I hope to get involved in some clubs and intramural sports up here at Penn State. I plan to major in computer engineering, and I hope to get an internship or co-op. After college I have thought about jobs with NASA, Intel, and Boeing. My dream has always been to work for NASA, but to achieve this I will have to work very hard here at Penn State.
